Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. This policy explains what Window Ally collects, why, and who it is shared with.
This document is a starting template. Have it reviewed by a licensed attorney before launch, and update it to match the states you operate in and the vendors you actually use.
1. Who we are
Window Ally ("Window Ally", "we", "us") operates windowally.com. Window Ally is a project-matching service for residential window and door replacement projects. We are not an installation company.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: ZIP code, project type, approximate number of windows or doors, homeowner status, timeline, first and last name, phone number, email address, preferred contact time, and any notes you add.
- Consent record: the exact consent text you agreed to, its version identifier (currently 2026-09-v1), the date and time of submission, and the IP address the submission came from.
- Technical information: browser type and user agent, the page the form was submitted from, and referral source.
- Analytics: if analytics or advertising measurement tools are enabled, aggregate usage data such as pages viewed and traffic source. We do not send your name, phone number or email address to advertising pixels.
3. How we use it
- To review your project and confirm the details with you by phone, text or email.
- To check whether a participating local installation company covers your ZIP code and takes projects of your type.
- To arrange and confirm a free estimate appointment.
- To keep records of consent, and to detect and prevent spam and abuse.
4. Who we share it with
When coverage is available and your project fits, your request is shared with one participating local window and door installation company so they can contact you and perform the estimate. We do not sell your information, and we do not distribute a single request to multiple competing contractors.
We also use service providers who process data on our behalf — for example email delivery, SMS notification, hosting and analytics providers. They may only use the data to provide those services to us. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Communications and consent
By submitting the form you agree that Window Ally and one participating installation company may contact you by phone, text message and email at the details you provided, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, opt out of emails using the unsubscribe link, or ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing hello@windowally.com.
6. Retention
We keep project requests and the associated consent record for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal recordkeeping obligations, then delete or anonymize them.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To make a request, email hello@windowally.com. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly defined.
8. Security
Submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and access to them is limited to people who need it to run the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
